Payment Pricing Page

These are the standard United States rates AiroDental Pay passes through from its payment provider, with no AiroDental markup. If your practice has a rate on its Order Form that differs from this page, your Order Form controls.

This Payment Pricing Page sets out the fees for AiroDental Pay. It is incorporated by reference into the Payments, Treatment Plan and Financial Features Addendum (the “Addendum”) under Section 12 and Section 15. The fees that apply to your practice are also shown on your activation screen and in your Order Form at the time you enable a payment feature. Where a specific rate in your Order Form differs from this page, your Order Form controls for your practice.

Card network and payment provider fees are set by the networks and the provider, and they may change under their terms. AiroDental passes those changes through. AiroDental provides notice of a material fee change as described in the Addendum (Section 15).

1. Card processing fees

A processing fee applies to each successful card payment. These are the standard United States rates of AiroDental Pay’s payment provider, passed through to your practice with no AiroDental markup. The fee depends on how the card is taken.

  • Online (card not present): 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction.
  • In person on a terminal (card present): 2.7% plus $0.05 per transaction.
  • Manually keyed: 3.4% plus $0.30 per transaction.
  • Card on file and scheduled payment-plan charges: 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction.
  • International cards: an additional 1.5%, plus an additional 1% when a currency conversion is required.

The processing fee covers the card network and payment provider costs. It is not returned to the practice when a payment is later refunded.

2. ACH (bank payments)

ACH applies only when it is enabled for your practice.

  • ACH debit: 0.8% per transaction, capped at $5.00 per transaction.
  • ACH return or failure: $4.00 per returned item.

3. Chargeback and dispute fees

  • Dispute (chargeback) fee: $15.00 for each dispute. The payment provider returns this fee to the practice if the dispute is resolved in the practice’s favor.

The practice is responsible for chargebacks, returns, refunds, and related fees on its transactions, as described in the Addendum (Section 9).

4. Terminals and devices

Card-present hardware applies only when a terminal is ordered for your practice. The in-person processing rate is shown in Section 1.

  • Terminal device: priced at the time it is ordered. The price varies by device model.
  • Device deposit: where one applies, refundable on return in good condition.

The device price, any deposit, and the return conditions are stated at the time the device is ordered.

5. AiroDental Pay platform fee

AiroDental Pay is included with your AiroDental plan unless your Order Form states a separate monthly fee for payment features. Any platform fee is separate from the card network and payment provider fees above.

6. Surcharge and convenience-fee programs

Some practices pass a fee to the patient on card payments where the law and the card network rules allow it. This is available only when AiroDental enables and configures the feature for your practice. When it is on, the fee is shown to the patient before they confirm, and it never applies to a debit card. See the Addendum (Section 12) and the Patient Payment Terms.

7. Payouts and how fees are collected

Fees are deducted from settlement before funds pay out to your practice’s bank account, or charged as described at the time a feature or device is enabled. Payout timing, holds, and reserves are set by the payment provider under its terms and are described in the Payment Services Policy (Section 11). A standard payout reaches the practice bank account about one week after settlement, and a new account may have a short initial hold. An instant payout, where available, costs an additional 1.5%, with a minimum of $0.50.

8. Taxes

Fees are exclusive of any taxes. The practice is responsible for any taxes that apply to the fees, other than taxes on AiroDental’s net income.

9. Changes to pricing

AiroDental may update this page to reflect payment provider and card network changes and changes to AiroDental fees. The version and effective date appear at the top of this page, and prior versions are archived so a practice can see the fees in effect on a given date. For a material increase in fees, AiroDental provides notice as described in the Addendum (Section 15).
